Sometimes you start hearing the same rumor from multiple sources within a very small window of time and there appears to be something happening sooner than later. That is definitely the case today/last night in regards to the LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers having "high-level talks" regarding top level players.
The name continually coming up as heading to Edmonton is that of suspended defenseman Slava Voynov. Quite a few executives around the NHL are saying he will be soon available and the Oilers would be sending a blueliner and a prospect back in return in a possible deal.
I have also heard David Perron mentioned and possibly a center coming from LA as well.
This could be the makings of the season's first major trade I am told.
Stay tuned....
