Drew Doughty plays the game that he loves like a caffeine-injected teenager. He LOVES hockey. Its in his heart and soul. Its what defines him.
If and when the LA Kings make the Rangers finally tap-out, be it in Game 4 or 5, Doughty will enter into some rarified air as a two-time Stanley Cup winner, and two-time Olympic gold medal champion. Throw in a Norris Trophy nomination and a possible Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP of the 2014 playoffs. Doughty is only 24 years old. 24 years old!
Doughty spoke candidly and excitedly at his post-practice media session on Tuesday. If it were up to Doughty, the London, Ontario native would play the knockout game sooner rather than later.
“I can’t wait to get out there,… he said. “It kind of sucks that the game is at 8:00, waiting around during the day. You just want to get out there. You don’t want to get overanxious at the same time. But it’s fun to play in these types of games. When the pressure’s at a high, you just want to go out there, play your best as a team, win games. Yeah, I just can’t wait to get out there, get warmups over there, drop the first puck.…
Thanks, Kings TV

Don't tell Henrik Lundqvist that his team is doomed to lose the Stanley Cup Finals. Hank wants the haters to put their brooms away.
The King isn't buying all of smack that the Rangers can't push back on the Kings.
Lundqvist has yet to steal a game for his team. He's played exceptionally well in the first three games of the Cup Finals, however, he hasn't won a 40+ save masterpiece of a game. That's what his team needs right now from him. He needs Mats Zuccarello, Marty St. Louis and the offense to bury the plethora of chances that it has squandered.
