According to Art Staple of Newsday Dan Boyle's agent, G. Bazos, said that Boyle has not made a decision yet regarding the Islanders. His quote is "We have no real timetable."
Seems a bit rude full well knowing that the Islanders DO have a time table and would like to get certain pieces in place well before draft day.
Staple says he believes if there is no decision in the next week or so, Garth Snow will look to move Boyle's rights. It has been reported that Boyle wants to be on a "cup contender," but really in this NHL how can you be certain a team will contend for the cup?
So many things can happen during a season that can cause a team that shouldn't be in the running to be the new Cinderella story or the team everyone KNEW would be in it in April to be a distant hope come January.
It's all a crap shoot -- just like the draft which is coming up quickly.
