I expected Dan Bylsma to give the nod to rookie Linus Ullmark  tonight versus Tampa.

Bylsma will continue playing the hot hand when he sends the 20 year old to the crease tonight.

Ullmark is 2-1-0 with an impressive .930 save percentage since being called up last week from the Rochester Amerks.

Ullmark allowed one goal on 30 shots Sunday night in Buffalo's comeback 2-1 win in Brooklyn.

On Friday night, the Swedish import stopped 27 of 28 shots in for his first career NHL win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Tampa will counter with it's top goalie prospect Andrei Vasilevskiy who is 1-0 since being called up from AHL Syracuse last Sunday.

This game will have a palpable playoff vibe to it as the second place Lightning only lead the Sabres by four points in the Atlantic Division standings. The Sabres have won three of their past four game and have only played 12 games this season. The once prolifically offensive Bolts have lost 5 of their past 6 games and are struggling to score goals.

Through 14 games played, the Bolts have scored just 34 goals for while allowing 35 goals against (-1 save %).

Steven Stamkos has scored six goals, however, the rest of the Tampa top ten forwards are whiffing at an alarming rate right now. Ryan Callahan and Nikita Kucherov have four goals apiece. Vladimir Namestikov has 3 goals. Andrej Palat, Alex Killorn and Brian Boyle have 2 goals apiece. While Tyler Johnson, Val Filppula and Jonathon Drouin have contributed just one goal.
