You can feel it in the air. Not that it ever really left, but today is the day that the on-ice portion of the 2015-26 NHL season officially kicks off. The Senators rookies report for training camp and will hit the ice for a practice today before heading to London for the annual Rookie Tournament.
While the next month or so is primarily slotting for position on the depth chart or development before heading elsewhere, hockey is hockey and everyone has a little something to play for.
So over the next 8 (and hopefully 10) or so months, hockey teams and their fans will be taken on a roller coaster of emotions, riding the waves of good and bad times that are inevitable over an NHL season.
But today I will put you to task and throw two questions at you on the eve of the season:
1) What are your expectations for the Senators as a team over the course of the season?
and
2) What (if anything) do you fear for the Sens heading into the new season?
I will have my answers tomorrow, but want to see what you all anticipate happening.
