Tinordi Suspension, OEL Injury Update and the Worst Defense Line-up Ever (Canucks)

The somewhat big story of the day surrounding the Coyotes is the 20 game suspension of Jared Tinordi for violating the league's performance enhancing drug policy.

Since joining the Coyotes in exchange for failed mascot John Scott, Tinordi has posted a 42% rating and zero points. In comparison, John Scott played in 11 games, added an assist and was a close to even possession player.

That's right, the Coyotes traded John Scott and LOST the trade. Choke on that, Jim Benning!!

Despite somehow being listed - perhaps ironically - on Hockey's Future as the top defensive prospect in the Coyotes organization, Tinordi's suspension actually increased the Coyotes playoff chances from .02% to .03%.

This all leads to an obvious question: Who's performance is Tinordi suspended for enhancing? Opposing forwards?

The Coyotes' Oliver Ekman-Larsson appears to be out with an injury. He left the game the other night against the Coyotes in the third. It was either an upper or a lower body injury. The important thing to know is that it was a body injury and not some other type of injury.

As is the usual, the player was hurt, no one knew or said anything about where or how badly and he was listed as day to day. Should the NHL be more respectful of it's paying customers (read: degenerate gamblers) and force teams to release more injury information?

Of course it should, but there hasn't been a strike or a lockout in almost three seasons, so you best just keep quiet and be happy you have any hockey at all!!!

If an NHL team has ever dressed a worse lineup on defense, I am not aware of it. For the love of God, if you are a Coyotes fan and have to watch tonight's game, please keep all sharp objects out of reach.

Do not attempt to watch this game if you have a heart condition or are otherwise medically advised to keep your blood pressure down.

Thanks for reading.
