From the Senators' press release:
2016-17 Ottawa Senators pre-season schedule (all times Eastern)Monday, Sept. 26: Ottawa vs. Toronto (in Halifax, N.S.) 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 27: Ottawa at Buffalo, 7 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 29: Ottawa at Montreal, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 1: Montreal at Ottawa, 3 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 3: Ottawa at Winnipeg, 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 4: Toronto vs. Ottawa (in Saskatoon), 9:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 7: Buffalo at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
Thankfully, there is no split-squad games on this year's docket, perhaps learning from past mistakes. Two seasons ago they played a split squad game at the end of the pre-season which was a logistical nightmare because they had to keep so many bodies in camp for so long. Last year they got the split squad game over with early, but it still made for tough assessments with the coaching staff in one place and half of the team playing elsewhere at the same time.
Both games against the Leafs are neutral site games, while the Sabres and Habs will both make return visits with the Senators.
