The Pittsburgh Penguins were busy today signing some of their college prospects.
The first signing of the day was Jake Guentzel

Jake has three years of Division I college experience and is still only 21 years old which isn't always the case with college players these days IE: RMU's Zac Lynch being 24 years old.
Here are Jake's stats
The second signing of the day was even bigger. Pittsburgh finally signed 2012 second round pick Teddy Blueger. The longer Blueger remained unsigned the more likely it was that he could pull a "Justin Schultz" which would be to remain unsigned and become a UFA. Blueger was eligible to hit UFA status on June 1st. This was avoided today.

Teddy is also 21 years old and has four years of Division I college experience
Blueger's contract is a two year entry level deal but does not start until 2016-17. He will report to WB/S now under an amateur tryout.
It remains to be seen what kind of professional players these two will turn out to be but that process will start immediately.

Great news on the Brian Dumoulin injury front
Coach Sullivan on Dumoulin: "Brian skated on his own before practice today. He will be day to day." pic.twitter.com/Lcj3zAEDou

Day to day is certainly manageable. This is fortunate news regarding a Penguins injury for a chance.
