News breaking as we speak: Arthur Staple of Newsday is reporting that Travis Hamonic, who this time last year had requested a trade to Western Canada to be close to his family, has decided instead that he wants to remain a N.Y. Islander.
This is pretty surprising and maybe even more rare...Usually once a player shows a desire to move the team involved moves him quickly or eventually....
But we live in the "era of forgiveness" as Hamonic will stay an Islander and Jonathan Drouin will remain in Tampa....for now.
We will discuss all this and more on today's Podcast at 1pm ET
