News, Notes & Game Preview (Ducks)

Yes, the Ducks won! To quote Han Solo “great kid, don't get cocky.… Seriously, the Predators are a good team and Anaheim took the game to them early. There is some concern over allowing 42 shots on Frederick Andersen, but Nashville plays a pretty wide open game.

Some notes from the past few days:

Tim Jackman was waived by the team. After he cleared waivers, he was assigned to San Diego. Jiri Sekac was placed on IR with an ankle sprain. Max Friberg was recalled from the AHL. Injured players Ryan Getzlaf, Nate Thompson and Josh Manson have been skating in practice. Getzlaf and Thompson have been doing just that, skating and trying to build back some stamina. Manson is further along in his recovery and was a participant in practice.

Florida @ Ducks

Be on the lookout for a mullet. Jaromir Jagr returns to the Panthers lineup tonight after a stint on the injured list. Another familiar face, Roberto Luongo is Florida's starting goalie. Anaheim has fared well against “Bobby Lu… going 11-9-2 against him.

For Anaheim more line shifting. The left wings move around again, this time Mike Santorelli plays on the top line with Kesler and Perry. Sometimes it feels like Bruce Boudreau utilizes the dartboard technique in assigning his left wings to lines, however there are other changes as well. Friberg will start on the fourth line, and bump Chris Stewart up to the second. Rickard Rakell also moves back up to center line two, The defense pairings and goalie remain the same as the have the past few games. Here is tonight's lineup:

Forwards Santorelli-Kesler-Perry Hagelin-Rakell-Stewart Cogliano-Horcoff-Silfverberg Maroon-Wagner-Friberg

Defensemen Lindholm-Bieksa Fowler-Holzer Stoner-Vatanen

Goalies Andersen Khudobin
