Some notes on David Warsofsky and Clayton Keller:
1) The World Hockey Championships kicked off today and the Devils' filled Team USA was one of the first teams in action.
Among the most heavily featured Devils was defenseman David Warsofsky, who happens to be in need of a new contract this summer.
Warsofsky skated a regular shift against Canada's top lines at even-strength and also ran USA's top power play unit. It's clear John Hynes likes what Warsofsky can bring to the table and his usage reflects that.
GM Ray Shero hasn't said a word when it comes to who he plans on re-signing or letting go but, given how fond Hynes is of Warsofsky, I wouldn't be surprised if he is brought back for another year.
2) It's a little early for mock drafts given the draft order isn't entirely set but ESPN's Corey Pronman recently released one and had Clayton Keller going to the Devils at 11th overall.
Keller is a little undersized but he possesses all the skill in the world and is capable of playing both center and wing.
He has piled up points anywhere and everywhere he has played so I think him falling to the Devils' lap at 11 would be a dream.
Not only is Keller one of the highest scoring players ever for the USNTDP but, after tallying 14 points in seven games, he is one of the highest scoring U.S. players of all-time at the under-18 tournament.

At 11th overall the Devils should get a good player regardless of who they elect to go with but I think Keller is the best candidate if he's still on the board.
Players with the kind of offensive upside he possesses don't come around every day.
