Lemieux Scheduled for Deposition in Concussion Lawsuit #Pens #NHL https://t.co/DCDt1wtHxG pic.twitter.com/vw8vSSJSGY

Mario Lemieux is scheduled for a deposition on December 17th and as of right now that is still scheduled to take place.
It is no secret that Mario Lemieux does not like how the NHL handles their product. Lemieux literally retired because he did not like the state of the NHL's product back in 1997. In 2011 he attempted to institute a fining system that would heavily fine the teams in addition to the player(s) involved in order to hold more people accountable for on-ice actions. That was dismissed.
He tried to get the league to take things more seriously and they ignored him. I hope he uses this opportunity to torch the NHL.
USA Hockey announces press conference tomorrow in Buffalo at 18-yard-line at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Sounds like 2018 WJC to Buffalo
— Adam Kimelman (@NHLAdamK) December 3, 2015
It appears that Pittsburgh has lost out to Buffalo in their pursuit of the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championships. Either city was a fine choice but Buffalo probably represents the best option to turn a profit. The proximity to Canada is an obvious benefit.
The new Harbor Center in downtown Buffalo has its own main rink and is the home to Canisius Hockey as well as the NWHL Buffalo Beauts. It is connected to the First Niagara Center which makes for easy access. Also appealing is the fact that Buffalo's downtown waterfront area has gone a massive overhaul in recent years. Ever since Terry Pegula arrived in Buffalo there has been a change in attitude on what can and can't be accomplished in the area.
Who knows what else will be completed by the time the 2018 WJC arrives.
Ralph Wilson Stadium an odd place to announce BUF getting the 2018 WJC, unless of course there's going to be an outdoor game as part of it.

Canada and the United States in an outdoor game is the likely reason for this. I would also expect an NHL outdoor game to take place around the same time. Could the Pittsburgh Penguins be involved? It would be the 10 year anniversary of the first Winter Classic. Although I kind of like the idea of a Eichel/McDavid showdown.
