Isles Preds Preview (nhl)

UPDATE: Cizikas out with undisclosed injury, Nelson and Prince in... Pulock in for Strait

The Islanders return to action tonight as they take on the Predators in Nashville at 8pm. Both teams enter tonight playing strong hockey as the Preds are 4-1-2 and the Isles are 5-1-2 in the month of March respectively. New York is hoping to build off a much needed point in Pittsburgh as Thomas Greiss will be between the pipes after winning his last start Monday against the Florida Panthers. With both the Penguins and Flyers surging their is simply no margin for error here as the Islanders have to keep pace.

Mikhail Grabovski left the road trip to return home as he aggravated an injury during the game in Pittsburgh. This was Grabbo’s first game back from a stint on the Injured Reserve list and the forward continues to show that he simply cannot stay healthy. While Grabovski is listed as day-to-day we can only hope that the injury is not considered serious.

The Isles lineup will surely be different tonight and with Captain Jack at the helm who knows what the wheel of forwards will turn up tonight. I would expect Brock Nelson to be back in the lineup but with this staff you never know. I would also think if anyone needed time in the press box that it would be struggling sophomore Ryan Strome.

When the lineups are announced I will update this blog. In case you missed it here is our interview with the voice of the Predators Pete Weber. Pete breaks down the Preds revival in the standings and we get his take on the Isles Season as well. Enjoy!
