Is it really ridiculous to suggest that Jack Eichel may end up becoming the best player drafted today?
I don't think it is. In fact, if I had to put money down right now I honestly don't know which I would choose. McDavid is a Phenom....but Eichel has something we may not have seen since Eric Lindros.
Maybe McDavid vs. Eichel is pretty much Crosby vs. Lindros.
Who would you take? There is no question Crosby has had the better career over Lindros...
Crosby will be a "hall of famer," and Lindros, due to injuries, probably won't be.
However, when you compare Crosby at his best and Lindros at his best it gets VERY murky. When Lindros was on top of his game he was every bit as dominant as when Crosby was on top of his game. Maybe more dominant.
