Todd Cordell
Without a doubt the answer is Corey Crawford.
He doesn't get the recognition he deserves but he's been an upper echelon goaltender for several years now and is enjoying his best season to date.
Crawford is tied with Braden Holtby for 1st in the NHL with a .931 save percentage (minimum 30 starts) and he's 1st in quality start percentage. Despite that he is somehow not an all-star.
Pekka Rinne, however, ranks 51st out of 58 goaltenders (minimum 10 starts) with a .902 save percentage and is an all-star.
I know the game is in Nashville but that is no reason to give the Preds a 3rd representative; especially when he's completely undeserving.
Crawford should be in the all-star and, if it were my choice, Rinne would be the guy coming out.
Jason Lewis Tyler Toffoli. On pace for over 40 goals, which would be the first time a Kings player has done that since 92-93 (Robitaille). He wasn't going to get in due to the limited number of slots and due to Drew Doughty being the Kings representative.
But think about that for a second, what other season would we say a potential 40 goal scorer and a current top 8 goal scorer in the league was not an all-star?
James Tanner The selection of Pekka Rinne (2.58 902%) over Corey Crawford 2.14 931% has to be the worst of the snubs.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson should also be there, but to be honest, the most I paid attention to the allstar rosters was just now when I got asked this question, so I'm sure there's a couple I'm missing.
