With the curtain just over a week away from being drawn on the regular season, the Senators will continue to try to answer the couple of remaining questions regarding their rosters as the veterans get another step closer to game shape in Winnipeg tonight.
Shane Prince (who currently holds the upper hand) and Matt Puempel will get another chance to impress (and perhaps a last one) to battle it out for a roster spot, as will Mike Kostka, and Chris Wideman. Eric O'Dell, who played for the Jets organization over the past 4 seasons, will also play in front of the crowd that used to support him.
Here is how the forwards lined up in today's pregame skate:
MacArthur-Turris-Stone
Michalek-Pgaeau-Ryan
Prince-O'Dell-Stortini
Puempel-Smith-Lazar.
— Bruce Garrioch (@SunGarrioch) September 29, 2015On the blue line, Karlsson will play with Methot, Cowen with Wideman and Borowiecki with Kostka.
The duo of Anderson and Hammond will be in uniform, and apparently they are going to split the game.
The Jets haven't released their lineup yet, but being the home team it will probably come pretty close to their NHL roster.
The game is on TSN5 (Ottawa region) and TSN3 (Winnipeg region) at 8:00 Eastern/7:00 local.

Bryan Murray teased on Friday that he was going to sign a veteran defenseman to a PTO in the wake of the Mikael Wikstrand departure. Well he went one step further on Monday as he dipped back into the local hockey scene and signed Mark Fraser.
Similar to the move made to bring in Aaron Johnson last season, it is a depth move for the organization to provide some veteran presence at the AHL level. He is a veteran of 219 NHL games over the past 7 seasons (and 7 games before that), with the Devils, Maple Leafs and Oilers.
