The Calgary Flames have traded up to the end of the 2nd round to grab another Swedish blue liner.
This time it's Oliver Kylington who was free falling down the draft board.
A year ago Kylington was projected to be a top-5 pick but he has slipped down the rankings throughout the year.
Kylington is an exceptional skater and one of the best in the draft in that regard. He's very highly skilled and makes a good first pass.
There have been some questions about his decision making, which likely factored into his fall. At times he can force plays that simply aren't there.
That said he is a undoubtedly a 1st round talent and could be a steal for the Flames at 60th overall.

After trading three picks to acquire Dougie Hamilton the Calgary Flames had a long wait before selecting defenseman Rasmus Andersson with their 1st choice.
Andersson is a puck-moving defenseman who frequently hits tape and can rush the puck up ice if lanes are available. His skating looks a little choppy, however, he gets around the ice fairly well.
He put up over 60 points with the Barrie Colts this past season while playing big minutes in all situations. He is a capable penalty killer but the offensive zone is where he's at his best. He reads the play very well, has a powerful shot, and is very good at losing defenders while walking the line. He's very good at quarterbacking the power play and he should have no problem doing so at the next level.
I personally believe he is a 1st round talent and really like this pick for the Flames.
