Here is how it works: You are allowed one entry into the HockeyBuzz SuperLeague, per account. To be eligible for the grand prize, you MUST be a HockeyBuzz Season Ticket Holder when the first game of the NHL season begins. After signing up with your team name, you must fill out your roster within the guidelines set by the start of the first game of the season. You have plenty of time to set things up, so take your time, but don’t be late!

After the first NHL game of the season, all the teams that have entered the HBSL (HockeyBuzz SuperLeague) will be broken up into leagues with 18+. Voila, you will have a regular season schedule set and you will know exactly who you are up against each week going forward. Each weekly matchup you win is worth 2 points in the overall standings, while a tie is simply worth 1 point.

After the season is complete there will be two separate 128-team playoff brackets created. One of the brackets will be reserved for the HockeyBuzz Season Ticket Holders, while the other is for those who do not have a Season Ticket at the start of the NHL season. The top ranked Season Ticket Holder (STH) and the top ranked free team in each league will earn a playoff berth. From there, the left over spots will be filled based on the highest points scored throughout the course of the NHL season (wins being the first tiebreaker, with goals scored and then saves to follow). If there is a tie during the playoffs, they are settled with: 1) goals scored, 2) saves, 3) shots on goal.

When building your team each week you will have 71.4 million dollars to work with. You MUST have 4 left wingers, 4 right wingers, 4 centers, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies. All of the NHL players are listed for you to pick from and their salaries are included beside their name with what their cap hit is (Cap Central). Make sure you update your roster every week, as rosters run from Monday until Sunday, so ensure you are set for every Monday night’s games; (Typically the deadline falls on a Monday).

Use your hockey smarts to select a winning team each week. There is plenty of strategy picking a new lineup weekly, with hot and cold players playing one or a number of games each week. Make sure you pick a fun fantasy name that you can represent yourself with; there have been some beauty’s in the past!
