Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll has been suspended three games by the NHL's department of player safety.
This news, of course, is in response to a high hit Boll laid on Anaheim's Patrick Maroon during Columbus' last game. The NHL is making great strides in taking dirty plays out of hockey, and Boll's hit certainly fits the bill, as the initial point of contact was Maroon's head.
