The Calgary Flames must really like the London Knights.
After selecting power winger Matthew Tkachuk with the 6th overall pick the Flames went back to well in round 2 by selecting goaltender Tyler Parsons.
Parsons doesn't have ideal NHL size (6'1') but he is athletic, positionally sound and he never gives up on a play.
Parsons tied Devils prospect Mackenzie Blackwood for the league lead in save percentage stopping .921% of the shots he faced.
Taking goaltenders early can be risky but if the Flames were going to draft a goaltender Parsons seems like the best guy to take.
