According to Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks have waived goalie Ilya Bryzgalov.
Signed as an experienced veteran to back up starter Frederik Andersen back in December, Bryzgalov has looked anything but. It's hard to believe that in his eight Duck appearances that he has generally played worse than his 1-4-1 record with a 4.11 GAA and .847 save percentage.
Bryz's departure indicates that Andersen may be returning from his injuries shortly.
The Ducks next host the Red Wings tomorrow at the Honda Center.
