Advertising on Jerseys Coming Soon? For or Against? Tuesday's Buzzcast (nhltraderumors)

Rick Westhead, one of the best journalists in the hockey business, wrote today on TSN.ca that Adidas has won the rights to produce the jerseys for all 30 teams beginning in the 2017-18 season....They outbid Reebok who has been producing them for sometime now...

On Twitter Westhead writes....

Now this has been speculated for some time now, and the WCOH may indeed be the best place to try out these jerseys....but I for one HATE the idea of NHL jersey's becoming cluttered with advertisements moving forward...

When you buy a jersey do you want to become a billboard for the highest bidder every time you wear it?

Or perhaps the NHL could give consumers an option...like Amazon does for the Kindle...fans would get a discount if they buy the jersey with the ads on it and pay full price for the classic clean look we have all come to love...

What do you think?

We will discuss all this and more on today's HockeyBuzzcast live at 1pm
