The road trip has been successful so far with the Wild taking 5 of a possible 6 points this far with back to back wins I'm Camada over Montreal and Ottawa respectively.
They get a tough test today with the Red Wings in Detroit. This is a much different Wings team than what we have come to know over the last several seasons. Steve Yzerman is building a contender and former Iowa Wild head coach Derek Lalonde has his team playing with a competitive edge every night.
Filip Gustavsson gets his second Wild start tonight and the rest of the lineup appears to be the same as that which we saw in Ottawa on Thursday night. Tyson Jost once again sitting while Mason Shaw slots in on the fourth line.
Congrats to former Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk on his official retirement from the NHL. Dubs will take on a new challenge as an analyst with the NHL network. Wishing Dubs and his family all the best as he continues his hockey career off the ice.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
