Wow, did the Kings ever lay an egg for us, or should I say Jonathan Quick did! The night started out great hitting our first two plays, but then Boston derailed it for us! All three games went over the total and favs were 3-0. We have a 9 game card tonight, analysis below.
OTt/TB - The Sens are getting hit with the flu bug badly, no word yet on how many players will be out but Ottawa won't have a full lineup. Ottawa is starting a 5 game road trip tonight. TB is off their big outdoor game win and has Pittsburgh on deck, so I hope they aren't looking ahead. I expect Brian Elliott in goal for TB, the Lightning has won 2 of 3 against Ottawa this year. Huge lean to TB PL -125.
EDM/PHI - The Oilers are now without 4 key players, RNH, Yamamoto, Keith, and Russell for this game. The Flyers have played once during the same span that the Oiler are now playing their 4th game in that span. Rest is a big thing at this time of the season and the Oiler's are off games against 3 of the best in the Eastern Conference in FL/CAR/TB. EDM is playing their 4th game in 6 nights on the road and the line of EDM -161 is begging for Oiler's money! The Flyers won in EDM earlier this season 5-3. Yes, I'm leaning to PHI +140 as this line should be way higher! Small lean to the over as PHI has gone over in 7 of their last 10 games.
NJ/CLB - The Jackets sat rested last night while the Devils blew out the Canucks 7-2! CLB is 7-3 in their last 10 games, with losses to CAR/PITT/CAL. NJ is 4-6 during the same stretch and CLB has won 2 of 3 head-to-head this season. Lean to CLB -149 with the better home team over a terrible road team with a small lean to the under 6.5.
CAL/MIN - This will be the back end of a home and home with Minny for the Flames. CAL won 5-3 on Sat. night and have won 9 of their last 10 games. The Wild are a different team at home, being the 4th best home team against a very solid Calgary team on the road. Lean to Minny -110 in this spot off their disappointing 4 game road trip.
CAR/DET - The Wings have been hard to figure out lately, going 3-3 since the All-Star break while the Canes have won 5 in a row. Detroit has played some of their best hockey at home but they have gone over the total in 7 of their last 10 games. The Canes have WSH and PITT on deck, so a look ahead is possible here off a big win over EDM. This is the ultimate sandwich game for Carolina! Small lean to DET +190 with the CAR line at -220.
MTL/WIN - The Habs have won 5 in a row and are a different looking team under Martin St. Louis. This will be their 2nd game on this current 5 game roadie. The Jets just snapped a 4 game losing streak and are staring a pivotal 4 game homestand. WIN is 5-6 since the All-Star break and have been very inconsistent. You have 2 teams going in different directions and WIN -209 in this spot is ridiculous, with MTL +189, how don't you back the dog in this spot?!
NYI/COL - Two teams going in opposite directions, NYI is 3-7 in their last 10 games, while the Avs are 7-3 during that same span. This will be the Isle's 5th game in 8 nights on the road, Eastern Conference teams in this spot are 4-1 going under the total. Teams playing their 5th in 8 nights, if you bet against them the record is a nice 12-6 in this spot. The Avs are the best home team, so lean to COL PL -110 and the under 6.
SJ/VEG - Both teams are trending down with SJ 2-8 in their last 10 games and Vegas 4-6 during the same span. The Sharks have had a ton of injuries over the last week and are icing a depleted lineup. The Sharks are off until Saturday night after this one. Vegas needs this game, they're 1-5 in their last 6 games with their only win coming at SJ 4-1. Vegas -231 is on name alone, public play....SJ +199 has far more value. No play for me with better games on the board.
BOS/ANA - This will be the Bruins 4th game in 6 nights and have won 5 in a row after crushing LA last night. ANA is rested, having not played last night while Boston did. The Ducks are on a 6 game homestand and need this game badly having lost their last 2 games at home. The Bruins have Vegas on deck on National TV, horrible sandwich game, look ahead for the Bruins. Huge lean to ANA +175, great spot for the Ducks at a great price and they need this game only 2 points behind EDM in their division.
