Last week we did the latest Eastern Buyer/Sellers, this week we bring to you the update in the West... and this one is far more about drastics....
Note: I made one change on the chart. I renamed the top categories from "Very Strong Buyer/Seller" to "Definite Buyer/Seller." That doesn't mean they will "definitely" be making a deal, only that they will definitely be trying to.

Overall there are still 9 buyers and 5 sellers in the West, but the trends are starting to bring the trade deadline into focus....
*Minnesota and Chicago have jumped into the Definite Buyer Category; the first time any teams have been over 40 points in the buying direction in the West this season. San Jose gained 9 points and at 35 points is almost a third team.
* Winnipeg and Vancouver both made strong moves towards the Buyer/Seller line while Arizona and Colorado jumped from Strong Sellers to Definite Sellers. This means there are now no teams in the mid range seller categories...three as possible, and two as definite.
* Calgary jumped into the "Likely Buyer" category from the "Possible Buyer" category. While Nashville moved closer towards the seller category but is still a "possible buyer."
* Huge drops from Arizona and Colorado of nearly 20 points is unheard of, but reflects more and more buyers wanting to do business.
* The West looks much more volatile than the East.
