It’s been quite a while since Carey Price saw some in-game action and it appears that the wait is now over. The team practice in Brossard has just started and Price is doing the starter’s routine. Out of commission since the end of the playoffs in July, the netminder underwent a knee surgery that was initially supposed to keep him out of action for 3 months, but in the end, it will have taken 8 months before he played again.

Meanwhile, Nick Suzuki is not at practice, getting yet another therapy day. The youngster must be looking forward to the end of the season, he’s the only player of the team who took part in every single game this year and seems that it might have taken its toll since he’s had quite a few therapy days lately.
The hockey world woke up to sad news this morning, one if not the best pure goal scorer in the history of the league has died. Mike Bossy finally lost his battle to cancer, once the cornerstone of the Islanders franchise, Bossy only played for 10 seasons due to injuries but in 9 of those 10 seasons, he scored 50 goals, quite a feat. His sole season without reaching the milestone was his very last one when he only played 63 games and managed to get 38 goals. In the last few years, he was part of the TVA Sports broadcasting crew, and it feels like he left this world much to soon at 65 years old only…
We’re saddened to learn of Mike Bossy’s passing this morning. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his friends, family, former teammates and TVA Sports colleagues.
