One of my favorite days of the year is here! I have put 21 players on the Rumor Chart so far today, and I am just waiting on a few more sources to add another 20 or so whom I have 90% done…..and more than 30 others I am still researching…
For those of you who are new to these here parts…..
The Rumor Chart is very different than my Rumor Blogs…and its an important distinction to draw…
In my rumor blogs…. In my daily writings I tend to offer no opinions, and rather just report what I have heard from credible inside sources.. Many times people comment a rumor is crazy because the Cap money would never fit or various other opinions…I know and I agree that as things are currently laid out this is often the case…and yet teams find a way….so I have decided it is best to just report the rumor. As time goes by I will update with further info and sometimes a rumor can develop into something that feels more likely. I do not put my opinion into a rumor blog rumor because thats for you to decide…just don’t use “illogical… or “won’t happen.… Logic doesn’t play into a problem unless you have all the information..so unless you are the GM and know EVERY factor….its better to watch how it all evolves…Of course we love when you say you don’t like a trade or a player or even a concept…but assuming it illogical or ridiculous is amateur…We simply don’t know…
On my Rumor Chart….
This is where I put my own personal/educated opinion about where I feel a player could land. The percentages on the Chart are based on rumors I hear (and have written about) along with sone off-the-record discussions… talks I have had with other hockey people who have their own opinions.. That is why I change the percentages throughout the day. If I talk to someone and they give me a piece of information that I really can’t write about, it cam sway my thoughts on a player…
Why is the rumor chart 19.99 per yeear?
I don’t know how many of you have your own websites, but Internet advertising is really very hit and miss these days. We don’t want to inundate the site with too many ads and make your experience terrible so we use this money to pay our writers and help keep the lights on. To those who can’t afford it we really appreciate it and wanted to offer you something more.
