Very light card for a Sunday with only 6 games on tap today! Sabres/Bruins went under yet again, 9th time out of 11 games. The Leafs continued their dominance of the Oilers last night! Keep a close eye on the Jackets/Wings game again today when it comes to another defensive battle. Be sure to check out all my trends today, some solid plays if you follow the different scenarios. Always lots of info in the gamenotes and there is money to be made if you follow trends and angles. We get 8 games on Monday night so a lot more action taking place!
**I have started to research teams that come off at least a 5 game road trip and how they fare in their first game back home.** Its 6-4 to date.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are rested, either sitting at home or on the road while their opponent plays the night before. 13-5 over the last 2 weeks of tracking it! Hitting at 72% rate! As well, the under is a nice 11-6-1 in these spots! Caps and Devils fit the system today.
Scenario #2 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 61-36. Hitting at 63% success rate! Blues and Hawks fit the system today.
Scenario #3 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 26-21-2 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Jackets/Wings, Preds/Hawks and Panthers/Stars fit the system today!
Scenario #4 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 84-63 in that situation. Only hitting at 57% success rate. Not playing the Stars in the system tonight.
Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 6-5 last night and are 236-286 on the season. Road teams were 3-8 last night and are 240-275 on the season. Game totals going over the total were 4-6-1 last night and are 246-251-15 on the season.

NYR/Caps - Noon – All four games have gone under the total and NYR have won 3 of 4 games head to head this season so far.
Jackets/Wings – 3PM – Back to back afternoon games. They have split the first 4 head to head. All 4 have gone under, play scenario #3.
Ducks/Blues – 5PM – Blues have won 4 of 5 head to head meetings, Ducks won for the first time two nights ago. Play scenario #2.
NJ/Boston – 5:30PM – Devils sitting rested while Boston played against Buffalo yesterday afternoon. All 4 have gone under the totals and NJ has won 3 of 4 head to head. Play scenario #1
Preds/Hawks – 8PM – Preds have won 6 of 7 games, playing their best hockey of the year. Preds have won all 3 games against the Hawks this year and all 3 have gone under the total.
Panthers/Stars- 6PM – 10 games in 16 days for Dallas! Watch for a tired team in Dallas, defensive type of game! Panthers have won 3 of 4 against Dallas this season.
