Sid "the 12 year veteran heading into this thirties" doesn't quite have the same ring as Sid "the kid". Today Sidney Crosby hits the big 3 0. I know, right? That's messed up. The kids that are being selected in the NHL draft have spent their entire childhoods looking up to Sidney Crosby much in the same way my generation had Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky.
Sidney Crosby came into the league with a lot of expectation. More of it than anybody outside of Lebron James could probably handle. Sid has handled all of it with the grace and elegance of an all-time great because that is what he is.

Sid still has some good years ahead of him in the NHL.
