Sens covid situation escalating by the day! Will the league postpone games? (NHL)

First off, for the latest Sens updates, please follow me on Twitter at Give me a Twitter follow, I will give you a follow too!

With the Ottawa Senators having to cancel practice Monday and again today, along with Josh Brown being added to the covid protocols bringing the number to 6 players on the list and one associate coach, one has to wonder when the league will seriously consider postponing Sens games until they know they have the current situation under control!

The word I'm hearing tonight is that two other players are awaiting more testing and could be positive too. They want to make sure it's not a false positive which has happened to a lot of teams this year. The league has had to deal with false positives earlier this year, where the player or coach are kept behind, then they are able to rejoin the team when they realize it was a false positive.

It can take up to 7 days to register a positive test and now that Brown played last night against Boston, I had an NHL scout tell me tonight that he's stunned the league hasn't paused the Sens season to stop further spread not only to other teammates but others teams. Can you imagine a week from now Bruins players starting testing positive? Then you need to do contact tracing to all the teams the Bruins played over the last week and so on!

Bill Daly has been assigned to watch the Sens covid situation closely, so that has to tell you they feel this situation might get worse before it calms down.

Even Mike Johnson has been told by the league that he can't be in between the benches tomorrow night of the LA/OTT game. So why is a TV commentator being told to stay away from the players on the ice but the Sens players continue to play other NHL teams?

Let's not forget, Anton Forsberg is sick too, but they haven't said yet if it's covid related because it could take a few more days until he registers a positive. The team is saying he's sick for the time being, but that could change.

I can't imagine Ottawa playing tomorrow night if more players are put in covid protocol tomorrow morning. All the players that are being called up could've been exposed to covid too, only to go back to Belleville and then possibly pass it on to their AHL teammates.

Let's not forget, Ottawa has 10 games in the next 17 nights starting tomorrow against LA!

Thoughts? Curious to hear all hockey fans' opinions on this. Thanks for reading. Kevin
