Last night we recovered with a nice winning night after having one of our worst nights in over a month the previous night. The last few nights road teams have had a slight edge, 5-3 for road teams last night. Totals 5-3 over the total and favs were 6-2! 1st-period totals going over went 7-1.
PHI/BUFF 1pm EST - The Flyers have lost 10 in a row, but 5 of the last 6 losses have been by one goal! They are ready to bust through and get that win and break the losing streak. Buffalo hits the road for a 4 game roadie after this game. Also, lean to the under in an afternoon game with these 2 teams. Philly has 7 of the last 10 games vs. Buffalo too. WIN/BOS - 3pm EST - Marchand is out for the Bruins, which is a massive loss for Boston! The Bruins are 4-1 on this current 7 game homestand. The Jets are playing their 3rd game in less than 5 nights on the road with Pitt on deck tomorrow afternoon too! I like the under here in this afternoon tilt with key players out for both teams.
ARI/NYR - Both teams played last night on the road and lost! Both teams have combined to go under the total in 46 of 76 games this season. The Yotes are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road but are 4-4 in their last 8 games overall. Could AZ catch the NYR in a nice spot after a tough loss in Carolina that was an emotional and physical game? Lean to the under, small lean to AZ +230.
CAR/NJ - The Devils sat rested while Carolina played at home in a big win over NYR and have only played 3 games since Jan 8th, so a very rested team! NJ has played much better at home too. Small lean to NJ +185.
OTT/WASH - The Caps have lost 6 of their last 8 games and have Vegas on deck on Monday, great look ahead spot! The Sens are 2-2 in their last 4 games and could've won both games they lost. This line of Ottawa +170 makes no sense, when you look at each team's records, this line is begging for Caps money as this should easily be +250 with Ottawa 30th in the league and on the road vs. Washington 8th overall in the NHL! TOR/NYI - The Leafs sat rested while the Isles played the Yotes last night and were also pissed about their loss to the Rangers from a few nights earlier. Toronto should come out hard and fast, jumping on the Isles early and often. Toronto is off until Wednesday when they host Anaheim, so they will sink a ton of energy into this game. NYI has won 6 of 7 games since the break. Huge lean to Toronto -175.
DET/NSH - Same scenario here, the Preds sat rested while the Wings played an OT loss to Dallas. Detroit is awful on the road and Nashville is solid at home, plus they have owned Detroit lately winning the last 5 games head to head. Huge lean to Nashville -188, plus they are off until Tuesday night. MTL/COL - The Avs have won 10 of their last 11 games since the break and are unbeatable at home. But will they be interested to play one of the worst teams in the league in MTL. The Habs have played some good hockey of late but are playing their 4th game in 6 nights on the road. Avs -415, steep juice. I like the over here a lot, 6.5 should be an easy play. CHI/MINN - The Wild won easy last night in Chicago and I expect Minny to impose their will again, plus I doubt Fleury starts in goal. Minny has MTL on deck too. Strong lean MINN -165.
CAL/EDM - The Flames have played once since Jan. 13th and the Oilers have lost 7 in a row. I've been burned too much by the Oilers of late and the Flames should be up for this game, plus are the better team. Both teams -110, pass for me!
TB/SJ - The Sharks sat rested while TB got throttled in Anaheim, looking very tired! Great spot for SJ and TB playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road, plus back to back on the road. Huge lean to the under 6 in this match-up, plus SJ +170.
