Funny how a healthy Wild lineup looks when they play Dean Evason/Wild hockey. They were aggressive attacking the puck playing with speed and the result was a 5-2 victory over the NY Rangers Tuesday night. The Wild hit the road for two quick ones in Detroit tonight and Columbus tomorrow before they embark on a nine game homestand.
This is it folks, make or break time and the Wild are in position to take a giant leap forward. They are not completely fixed and there is a ton of work ahead of them, but they are sitting in good position to solidify their playoff position.
Special teams need to be better and goaltending is going to be a question mark the rest of the way until we see one or both goalies step up. Or does Bill Guerin pull the trigger to upgrade his goalies? Anton Forsberg anyone?
The trade deadline is just a little over a week away now and we know Guerin will be active, just what he is thinking remains a mystery.
