Penguins have traded Connor Sheary and Matt Hunwick to the Sabres for a draft pick, clearing over $5 Million in cap space prior to July 1. This is a setup for the Penguins, who are looking to go in big on UFA Day...Rumors out there that the Pens may be prepping to make a play for Erik Karlsson...

Just talked to a source regarding Jeff Skinner, and the Hurricanes are waiting to see what happens with Tavares before taking the best offer.
There are sources of mine in both San Jose and Toronto who are telling me that Skinner's name has surfaced there.
In San Jose, current assistant coach Steve Spott, who as GM and Coach of the Kitchener Rangers drafted and had tons of success with Skinner...and Skinner has for years told friends and others how much he would love to play for the Leafs.
