Quick hit after just leaving the press conference...
*Holmgren on Hextall: "Ron was unyielding in his plan."
*Dave Scott: "We are focused on the Trade Deadline opportunities. Don't want to miss out."
Holmgren on Carter Hart: (after a loooong pause) "Ron and I were pretty much on the same page about Carter Hart. Do I think there will be an opportunity to bring him up at some point this year and get a look? Yes."
Holmgren on Hakstol: "Coaching in the NHL is hard...given goalie injuries he's done a decent job...I hope the new GM looks carefully at all Hakstol has done....this move has absolutely NOTHING to do with Hextall not willing to fire Hakstol."
Holmgren on Lombardi: "He is not a candidate. I talked to Dean and I don't think he wants to be a GM."
Paul said he is getting alot of calls and believes the Flyers job is one of the bet jobs in the NHL. There is no lack of interest..
