The rumors have been leaking out since last week, when reports that the Toronto Maple Leafs and the camp of William Nylander were getting close on an extension. All of the NHL insiders; Chris Johnston, Pierre LeBrun, Elliotte Friedman, and Darren Dreger have indicated on Monday that the finishing touches are being put on an eight-year, $92 million deal.

The deal, which includes a full no-movement clause and heavy signing bonuses, will pay the 27-year-old winger an AAV of $11.5 million starting in the 2024-25 season. Here is the contract breakdown:
