You can follow me on Twitter @ShackTS Apologies again for making this post short, but I only have access to my phone and not my laptop until tomorrow. There was important news today though as Eugene Melnyk and Capital Sports Management are suing Trinity Developments and John Ruddy for $700M. The reasoning? Because of the “failed joint venture… over the LeBreton flats development. Suffice it to say...The prospects of Ottawa now getting a new rink at LeBreton are extremely slim as long as Eugene Melnyk is the owner.

And even if someone new comes in, the land development just got set-back years once again. It’s just another issue in an exhaustively long list of things that Melnyk has done to sabotage the team and the fanbase. He clearly doesn’t have the money to make this a contending team, and today’s news is incredibly deflating. I can’t speak too much on the matter of local politics so I’m not sure if I will delve into it in a longer article but the main point from this is that LeBreton is on life support right now at best.
I need to hear some “Melnyk Out… chants at Ottawa’s next home game.
