The initial offers are not strong, so I get the sense the Senators are waiting for the Tavares dust to blow over...The teams involved in the Tavares sweeps are all teams who have planned for the possibility of a $10+ Million player...Tampa is a team I don't really think is too likely to get Tavares or Karlsson...but they could get more seriously into the mix...especially on Karlsson.
On Tavares...
Nashville and Vegas really aren't in this...Tampa is barely in on this, but they have to be taken somewhat seriously here because of Stamkos. Any team who is interviewing Tavares is a contender, however some are saying they still don't believe Tavares is going anywhere and some feel this whole trotting people out to LA thing says more about the agency making a splash.
