The Islanders announced this morning that they have recalled defenseman Adam Pelech from Bridgeport. The 22-year-old was loaned to the Sound Tigers on December 31 and played last night against Springfield.
Pelech has been out for just over a month with an upper-body injury. Lets hope he was not recalled just to sit in the press box.
Tonight the U.S. takes on Canada in the final of the World Junior Championships. A couple of Islander first round picks will be featured as American Kiefer Bellows takes on Canadian Mathew Barzal.
