The Wild return to XCEL Energy Center ice tonight when they host the Canadiens. Following a successful 5-game road trip that saw the Wild win three lose one in regulation and one in overtime.
Unfortunately during the trip the Wild lost two key forwards and were already without, Jordan Greenway who had returned to the lineup after missing the first three games.
Marcus Foligno and Ryan Hartman join Greenway on the shelf and it is a next man up situation early for the Wild. Mason Shaw had already been recalled from Iowa and forced his way into the lineup with his solid play. Shaw was rewarded notching his first career NHL goal on Sunday in Chicago and will find his way up the lineup as he will play alongside Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy this evening.
Edina native, Steven Fogarty, was recalled from Iowa on an emergency basis, will draw into the lineup playing on the fourth line with Sam Steel and Connor Dewar.
Marco Rossi will center Brandon Duhaime and Tyson Jost, while the top line remains intact.
Marc-Andre Fleury will man the Wild crease as he looks to keep his up streak of strong play, that saw him take NHL 3rd star of the week honors for last week.
The Wild and Canadiens will wrap up their regular season matchups early this season as the two met last week in Montreal. That game went the Wild's way with their 3-1 victory at the Bell Center.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
