The Carolina Hurricanes take on the undefeated Dallas Stars tonight, coming coming off what was an absolute goaltending battle in an overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Both Petr Mrazek and Andrei Vasilevskiy were great, with Mrazek making 32 saves for a shutout. Mrazek had to make several key saves while in motion and was key in the win. The Hurricanes missed some great chances of their own, especially on the power play, but Vasilevskiy made some great saves as well. Martin Necas finally ended it for the Hurricanes in overtime, off an excellent pass from Jordan Staal.

It was a great effort against a great team and the Hurricanes will need a similar performance tonight. The Stars remain unbeaten in their four games this season and will be another team competing for one of the top spots in the division. Joe Pavelski has been a story early on, with four goals and nine points, while defenseman John Klingberg has seven points as well and Anton Khudobin has allowed just three goals on the 72 shots he’s faced so far this season.
