Over the years in any professional sport, teams off long road trips tend to have tough time in that first game back home. I went back and tracked each division to see how teams have done this year off long trips and I also looked ahead to the rest of the season so we can see how his scenario plays out. I am only doing up this scenario based on at least a 5 game road trip. See below the breakdown for each division. There are some teams that have zero road trips of 5 games or more. Use this info as you may, enjoy!
West Division –
Anaheim - Zero Arizona – On March 22 the Coyotes will be off a 7 game road trip, on April 17 they will be off a 9 game road trip. Colorado – On April 30 the Avs will be off a 5 game road trip. LA lost off their 6 game road trip earlier this season. Minnesota won coming off their 5 game road trip. SJ - Zero St. Louis will be coming off a 6 game road trip on March 12. Vegas will be coming off a 6 game road trip on March 15.
East Division –
Boston - Zero Buffalo is coming off a 5 game road trip tonight, March 11. NJ - Zero NYI will be coming off a 5 game road trip on April 1. NYR will be coming off a 6 game road trip on March 15. Philly – Flyers lost off a 5 game road trip earlier this season. Pittsburgh – On April 16 they will be coming off a 6 game road trip. Washington – Won off a 5 game road trip earlier this season. On April 8th, they will be coming off a 5 game road trip.
North Division –
Edmonton – Oilers have lost twice off 4 game road trips(not counting 4 games, but shows a pattern), on April 2 they will be off a 5 game road trip. Calgary – Flames have won twice off a 5&6 game road trip this year. Ottawa – Sens won off a 6 game road trip earlier this year. They are currently on a long roadie but it conflicts with another system in their return home, so I won’t be playing it. Montreal – Habs won off a 6 game road trip earlier this season. On March 19 they will be coming off a 5 game roadie. On April 28 they will be off a 5 gamer again. Toronto – Leaf lost off a 5 game road trip earlier this season. On April 28 they will be off a 5 game roadie. Vancouver – Canucks lost off a 6 game road trip earlier this season. On April 12 they will be off a 5 game roadie. Winnipeg – Jets will be off a 5 game road trip on March 15, 7 game road trip on March 31, 5 game road trip on April 17.
Central Division –
Carolina won off a 5&6 game road trip earlier this season. Chicago lost off a 5 game road trip earlier this season. Columbus - Zero Dallas lost off a 5 game road trip earlier this season. Detroit lost off a 6 game road trip earlier this season. Florida - Zero Nashville will be off an 8 game road trip on March 23. TB will be off a 7 game road trip on March 13.
