Here we go!
I am still completely torn regarding Winnipeg versus Las Vegas, but that's tomorrow...so let's start here...
Tampa versus Washington....
*Two really solid teams.
*Washington has played a tougher group of opponents and dominated at times...knocking out the defending champs.
*Tampa's defense is incredibly solid, and with Nashville out the best group on the backline left...by a very wide margin...McDonough has played versus Ovechkin plenty and that will matter...
*The Caps are LOVING the underdog role for the the third straight series after years of being knocked out as a favorite...
*Stamkos and Kucherov aren't playing at the high level AO and Kutz are playing currently...
*Holtby is way better than either Kincaid or Rask. Tampa will have to step up...
*The Caps are in the zone and have finally gotten back to the conference Finals...something Tampa has done quite a few times recently...
History...
Over the last three years in 9 meetings the Caps have won 6 in regulation, the Bolts have only won 1 game in regulation, 1 in the OT, and 1 in a shootout...The Caps have averaged a goal more per game... The only Lightning win in regulation DID happen to come in the last meeting between the two...a 4-2 win in Washington...
What will happen?
The Caps are keeping on I feel. People are downplaying how good they are playing against teams who are just as good as Tampa....
Caps win in 6
Now your turn...
