According to a reliable source, the Chicago Blackhawks would very much like to acquire Colorado C/W Matt Duchene to play alongside Team Canada teammate and good buddy Jonathan Toews—on Toews' recommendation.
I will have more details on this and other Hawk pursuits (possibly also including James van Riemsdyk) in a later blog.
The Hawks and Avs are talking about several players, and the terms of a multi-player/prospect deal for Duchene have been discussed.
