The Avalanche close out their eight-game season series with the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday, trying to match the longest point streak in franchise history.
They’ve won five games in a row and have a point in 15 consecutive games (13-0-2). The franchise record is 16 (12-0-4) set in 2000-01 when the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.
Here are the GAME NOTES.
They’ve gone 5-1-1 against the Wild this season.
The Avalanche will use the same lineup they did Monday in a 5-4 win against the Wild, who had won 11 consecutive home games before that defeat.
Philipp Grubauer, who has set the franchise record for consecutive games without a regulation loss – 13 games (12-0-1) -- will get the start, his 32nd of the season.
