The Rumor Chart is about to launch, so here is a preview of some of the players I am tracking so far... We are less than a month now from the trade deadline, what looks to be one of the craziest and least predictable deadline in NHL history.
BREAKING. Ben Chiarot out 8 weeks This is a big deal in Montreal...It will be interesting to see how this affects the Habs deadline plans.
On Brandon Sutter... Sutter is classic third-line center that many teams are looking for. His uncle is now the coach of the Calgary Flames. The Penguins, Maple Leafs, and Panthers all have interest. The Canucks would have to officially enter into sell mode and that moment is quickly closing in on Vancouver.
On Holtby... The Canucks goalie has plenty of playoff experience and he is the perfect insurance policy for any team with Cup aspirations that is lacking a backup who could step up into the starting roll if needed. The Capitals are an interesting possibility for obvious reasons. The Hurricanes and Avalanche will also be in on the former Cup winner.
On David Savard... The Jackets would really rather extend Savard, but that could happen in the summer and Jarmo could better the team with a Savard move. The Flyers, Bruins, Canadiens, Jets and Panthers are all looking at D-men...Ekholm is the top choice, but Savard is a very viable option.

On Kyle Palmieri Is this the season Palmieri finally is a Bruin? I hear they have interest, but a more likely partner exist with Lou Lamoriello on the Island...The Devils would rather not move him of course, but the return could be very high...Also heard Colorado ties to Palmieri over the weekend...
On Josh Manson... Manson is a classic shutdown D man, who when healthy is a factor. The Ducks want a player who can help them right now for Manson...
Tyler Johnson for Jeff Skinner? I am not sure how Tampa makes this happen with the money, but the rumor is out there for sure...Tyler Johnson was put on waivers again...that could mean something.
