With talks for Giroux being traded to the Panthers being fairly prevalent last week, fortuitous timing with the schedule will give Cats fans an opportunity to watch him closely tonight when the Flyers come to town.
Not me though. I’ll be seeing The Batman this evening and will catch the condensed action.
Philadelphia made news today when they signed defenseman Rasmussen Ristolianen to a 5-year contract extension that will net him $5.1 M per year.
The 18-28-10 Flyers are rumored to be looking to do an aggressive rebuild on the fly and get back talented young pieces that can play now- hence why Giroux could be moved for Tippett and some other Panthers young guns. I still think it would be an odd trade for the Panthers - who would give up a lot for a rental - but what do I know? They do need to go all-in, but I thought it would be in a different area.
It should be fun seeing Petteri Lindbohm make his debut tonight. Really hoping he’s everything that he’s been advertised as: big, physical and can move the puck.

This will be the last game on Florida ice before the Cats takeoff on their circus road trip that will see them on enemy ice for seven straight games through California and Canada. A big test for a team who is starting to figure out their road woes.
