Caps win on Ovechkin's late goal; Tom Wilson faces possible suspension (Wilson)

Tom Wilson has become a good player - not that you'd notice.

He's got talent and when he's good, he's very good. But, he's become an embarrassment.

Not just to the Capitals but to the league that turned him into the monster that he's become. This is the third time in these playoffs that he's done something illegal and injured an opponent, and since the first two went without punishment (bizarrely ignoring his reputation and past) he quite rightly felt that he could do whatever he wanted without punishment of consequence.

Now the Penguins Zach Aston-Reese will miss the rest of the playoffs with a broken jaw and concussion.

In a shocking move, the NHL has announced that Wilson will 'have a hearing' about the hit.

Usually they just give Wilson a pat on the back for being an old-school hockey-guy, but this future general manager is completely out of control, so like the NHL usually does, it will step in and fix the problem way too late.

They'll give him two games and spend the rest of the day spreading misinformation about head injuries. (One assumes).

I want the Capitals to win, but not this way. I'd rather they lose the rest of the playoffs than play Wilson one more game. If the league won't suspend him, the Capitals should just cut him from the team.

No one needs this.

Last night the Capitals won an awesome game where they made a great third period comeback, where Ovechkin was completely awesome and which was one of the most entertaining games you're likely to see.

But here we are, talking about Tom Wilson.

Just kick him out of the league already.
