The NHL was looking forward to having Calder Trophy favorite Connor Bedard front and center at the upcoming All-Star game in Toronto next month, but that could be in jeopardy after the young star was injured against the New Jersey Devils on Friday.

Bedard suffered a fractured jaw on a check by New Jersey’s Brendan Smith, and teammate Nick Foligno suffered a broken finger in a fight with Smith coming to his defense.
