The Anaheim Ducks played three games this week and lost two players to injuries. Here's the weekly recap.

DUCKS GO 1-1-1 IN GAMES THIS WEEK

The Anaheim Ducks picked up three out of six possible points this week, splitting a two-game series against the Minnesota Wild, before losing to the Colorado Avalanche in overtime. The Ducks face the Avalanche once again tonight .

JOSH MANSON OUT SIX WEEKS

The Anaheim Ducks will be without a key defenseman for about six weeks, as Josh Manson recovers from an oblique muscle injury. Manson was injured in Anaheim’s game against Minnesota on Monday.

SONNY MILANO PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE

Forward Sonny Milano has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. It’s unclear as to how long he’ll be out.

As for this week’s poll questions, here are some of the results, along with my thoughts on how they turned out:

QUESTION: Are you happy with how Kevin Shattenkirk has performed with the Ducks so far?

(Votes: 31)

Yes: 94%
No: 6%

Shattenkirk is key for the Ducks, based on the team’s difficulty scoring. He can provide some offense from the blue line and while he’s not perfect defensively, he’s been a solid addition so far.

QUESTION: Of the 56 games this year, how many do you expect John Gibson to start for the Ducks?

(Votes: 25)

40-45 games: 56%
45 games or more: 24%
35-40 games: 20%
Less than 35 games: 0%

I think 40-45 games is a reasonable expectation for Gibson, which works out to between 59 and 66 games in a full season. Ryan Miller is a solid backup but we can expect the Ducks to play Gibson as much as possible.

QUESTION: Do you feel comfortable with Jani Hakanpaa taking on a larger role over the next few weeks?

(Votes: 30)

Yes: 50%
No: 50%

It’s not an ideal scenario, given Hakanpaa’s lack of NHL experience. However, he’s been fairly effective so far this season and has been able to take on some big minutes already, in Manson’s absence.
