Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. Here are this week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: Do you think Sean Walker is part of Los Angeles’ long-term plan?

(Votes: 92)

Yes: 54%
It’s too early to tell: 30%
No: 15%

I want to say he will be with the Kings for a long time to come but I think it is still a bit up in the air. Los Angeles has some prospects that could eventually make the jump and if they do, Walker could end up being the odd man out at some point.

QUESTION: Who was having the best season at the time they left the Kings?

(Votes: 133)

Tyler Toffoli: 65%
Alec Martinez: 23%
Kyle Clifford: 6%
Jack Campbell: 5%

I have to agree here. Toffoli was a key forward for the Kings before the trade, was on pace for 25 goals and had excellent advanced stats. It made sense to make the deal but losing Toffoli certainly hurt the Kings.

QUESTION: Will Alex Turcotte start next season in the NHL?

(Votes: 170)

No: 76%
Yes: 24%

I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a trial run but as I said in the article, I’m not sure that he sticks with the Kings. He’s still very young and getting him some professional experience with Ontario before moving him up to the NHL could be the best route to go.
